Universal Studios Mardi Gras Parade

Well everyone, I took a cool video of the Mardi Gras parade at Universal Studios Orlando this past weekend. In fact it's my very first video with my new camcorder. I think it came out well, although night videos with a standard camcorder is not that great.

But I got all the floats and dancers, plus all the music and people yelling! I can see I need to zoom in a bit more on big objects like the floats to see the details. But again, being at night did not help.

Also I got to Universal Studios during the day when it was warm and just had on my T shirt. By the time the Mardi Gras parade started at 8:00 PM it was cold! So I was shivering like crazy, I really tested out the ant-shake device in the camera, lol!

It seems to work good since you can't see too much shake. The microphone works pretty good too. I will go back during the day and take videos of all the Mardi Gras characters they have walking around during the daytime. Universal Studios Orlando Holiday Christmas Events

Like the other big theme parks in Orlando, Universal Studios is having some great Christmas holiday events going on now through New Years. Here are some of the highlights:

On Dec. 4-6, 10-13, 17-30, & Jan. 1-2 you and the family can have breakfast with the Grinch and friends at a holiday character breakfast at Confisco Grille in Universal's Islands of Adventure theme park.

Enjoy fluffy eggs, fresh fruit, cinnamon French toast, meats and more with The Grinch, The Whos and The Cat In The Hat. Please note: this event is not included in your regular theme park ticket.

At both Universal's Islands Of Adventure park and Universal Studios Florida there will be The Grinch Meet and Greet stations as the Grinch dresses up as Santa Claus. Shake his hand and get your kids picture taken with him, every day now till Christmas.

At Universal's Islands Of Adventure theme park Seuss Landing is once again transformed into the wintry wonderland of Grinchmas! This live musical show "How The Grinch Stole Christmas" stars the Grinch himself and a whole town of singing Whos.

The Whoville Wonky Tree Lot has also been decked out for the holidays with their own special Whoville Christmas decorations. Show times Dec. 5 - Dec. 25: 12p, 1p, 2p, 3:30p, 4:30p, 5:30p; Dec. 26 - Jan. 1: 2p, 3p, 4p, 5:30p, 6:30p, 7:30p

Universal Studios is also having a Holiday Concert Series in Universal Studios' new Music Plaza. Three nights will feature a popular music performer singing holiday songs.

Dec 19th: Natalie Cole

Inside the Universal Studios Florida theme park throughout the Holiday season see Macy's holiday parade featuring authentic floats and balloons from the Macy's Thanksgiving parade.

Then afterwards stay for a spectacular tree lighting ceremony with music and fantastic lights. There will be several holiday shows throughout the park each day with your favorite Universal Studios characters.

Finally from Dec. 26th to the 31st wrap up the night with a fantastic show featuring Universal's 360–A Cinesphere Spectacular.

It features Hollywood's biggest films projected onto huge spheres in the Universal Studios lagoon, plus one of the largest laser displays in Florida, dazzling pyrotechnics and more!
